What Is eBay Live? A UK Host Explains How It Works

eBay Live is eBay's live shopping feature. A seller broadcasts video in real time, shows items one by one, and viewers buy or bid directly inside the stream from their phone or desktop. I host streams on it as a direct eBay Live partner in the UK, so this is how it works from both sides of the camera.

How does buying on eBay Live work?

You open a live stream on eBay, watch the host present items, and when something comes up you want, you tap to buy or bid while the stream runs. Payment and delivery work like any other eBay purchase, with the same buyer protections. The difference is speed and theatre. Items sell in seconds and you see exactly what you are getting held up on camera.

What sells on eBay Live streams?

On our streams it is returns pallets stock, liquidation lines, lost luggage finds and mystery boxes. Live selling suits stock where seeing the actual item matters, which is exactly what surplus and returns are. A listing photo cannot tell you what a returned item really looks like. A live camera can.

Who can host on eBay Live?

It is not open to every seller. eBay works with approved partners in the UK, and we became a direct partner in 2025 after building the reselling business to eBay Top Seller level. If you are a seller thinking about it, my write up on how to sell on eBay Live UK covers the seller side in detail.

When can you watch an EcomKings stream?

We stream regularly under the ecomkings0 account on eBay Live. Between streams, the unboxings and behind the scenes content run daily on TikTok, and viewers earn points for chatting during streams which they spend on rewards at ecomkings.co.uk. If you have never watched live shopping before, one stream will explain it better than any article can.
